How to Save Money on a Siding Job
The largest savings in this trade almost never come from a promotional discount. They come from four decisions, and we would rather you know them than hear a sales pitch.
Do not wait until the wall is failing. Dry rot repair is the single most volatile line in a siding quote. Boards replaced before moisture reaches sheathing and framing cost a fraction of what structural repair costs. If paint is peeling in one area or a board feels soft, you are still in the cheap phase.
Book outside the crunch. Everyone in the Pacific Northwest calls a siding contractor in the same handful of dry months. Projects scheduled around that peak often get better crew availability and a faster start date. Ask us what our calendar looks like — we will tell you straight.
Choose the finish deliberately. Factory-applied colour costs more up front than primed-and-painted and usually wins over a fifteen-year horizon in our climate. On a rental or a house you plan to sell in three years, the opposite may be true. Run both numbers before you decide; our quotes show them separately.
Do the whole envelope once. If trim, fascia, or gutters are also due, doing them during a re-side is far cheaper than mobilizing again later. Staging the same work across three years costs noticeably more than doing it in one pass.

Are there seasonal savings on siding?
Scheduling is seasonal in this trade, and there are times of year when our calendar has more room than others. Ask when you call — if there is a scheduling advantage available on your project, we will tell you.
Do you price-match other siding contractors?
We do not match bids blindly, because bids in this trade are rarely for the same scope. Bring us a competing quote and we will show you line by line where the scopes differ. If someone is genuinely offering the same scope for less, we will say so.
Do you charge for a second opinion on a siding bid?
